CELEBRATE MATHS WEEK!!!
Today heralded the beginning of Maths Week in schools - where children will be carrying out special Maths activities in their classrooms though out their schools.
Our Maths co-ordinator Mrs Bradley has some great things planned for our boys and girls - with some lovely prizes up for grabs!
Mums and dads can help too, by encouraging our Y4-Y7 children log-on at home to the SUMDOG challenges with the children using the sign-in details they received in school.
Have fun - participate - and enjoy Maths!!!!!!
This week begins our Daily Mile programme in all classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The purpose of this initiative is to promote the physical, emotional and social well-being of our children., whilst also improving their focus and concentration within the class. The idea is that every child from Y1-Y7 will, with their class, go out in the fresh air to walk briskly, jog or run, for 15 minutes. This will be in addition to their normal break and lunch time play.
To find out more about how it all works please ask your children, class teachers, or visit https://thedailymile.co.uk
Thank you
Miss G Roddy - PE Co-ordinator
Congratulations to our Y7 children who were appointed to positions of responsibility for the coming academic year.
We have every expectation that Harry, Amy, Ryan, Amelia, Robbie, Natalia, Matthew & Gabriella will fulfil their roles exceptionally.
Well done boys and girls!
Congratulations to our Y7 children who had the Sacrament of Confirmation conferred on them this evening by the Bishop of Down and Connor Noel Trainor. The ceremony was concelebrated by Fr Gunn, Fr Rooney and Fr Doherty. Thanks to Mrs Spence (Y7) and all who had a part to play in this special night.
