    In the school bag today of the eldest child in your family is a copy of our Official School Calendar.
    Please put somewhere prominent at home to keep track of closures/events etc. (some dates may be subject to change in exceptional circumstances).
    A voluntary donation of £2 is asked to part cover costs - payable on EduSpot School Money.

  • Bangor Cares - to the Town Hall in style!

    Our children were invited to the launch of Bangor Cares at the Town Hall yesterday, and were accompanied by our Vice-principal Ms McAlorum. Bangor Cares is a week long programme of events highlighting the promotion of health and well-being. Ms McAlorum ensured our arrival would get the children noticed!
  • NEW VICE-PRINCIPAL & SENCo

    I am delighted to inform you that Ms McAlorum has been appointed as our school's new VICE-PRINCIPAL. From September, Ms McAlorum will move aside from her position as Y7 teacher, and take up, alongside her roles as Head of Pastoral Care and Designated Teacher for Child Protection, the role of SENCo.
    On behalf of our school community, I would like to offer our congratulations and best wishes to Ms McAlorum in her new position.

  • Leavers 2019

    Tonight we said farewell to our Y7 cohort at our Leavers Assembly - what a great bunch of children they are. We had prayers, songs, Y7 Escape to victory video (brilliant 😂) our Memories DVD and of course our Awards - well done to all for a magnificent evening - and thank you to you, the parents and families for your support over the past seven years.
    We will miss your boys and girls 😞 Mr Rafferty.
  • Chief Executive of CCMS visits St Malachy's!

    We had a special visitor today at St Malachy's, Mr Gerry Campbell - Chief Executive of CCMS (Council for Catholic Maintained Schools). Mr Campbell walked around the school, met some children and was very impressed by what he saw. He commented on the manners of the children, and the vibrancy of the childrens work displayed throughout the school among other things. Our Head boy Daniel and our Head Girl Rayna ensured he had a very warm welcome.
  • SVP Christmas Hamper Appeal

    Our Pupil Council again this year took the lead in arranging the collection of foodstuffs from our parents in order to prepare hampers for those in need this Christmas. An amazing 51 hampers were prepared and collected today by Mr Paddy Hanna and Mrs Dympna Boal, representatives from the St Vincent de Paul Society.

    Thank you to our children and parents for your unceasing generosity in spreading a little cheer this Christmas.

    We are pleased to announce the launch of our professionally recorded CD of liturgical music - this CD features our award-winning choir and is a beautifully produced recording.

    The CD is available at school for £5 with part of the proceeds being donated to the NSPCC.
