Welcome to St Malachy's Primary School, Nursery Unit

and Pre-school Playgroup

Our school is a CCMS Primary School situated on the Clandeboye Road in the picturesque town of Bangor in County Down.

We have approximately 440 children between our School, our Nursery Unit and our Pre-school Playgroup, so as you will imagine we are a busy school with lots going on, but also a welcoming and friendly school with dedicated and hard-working staff. As a CCMS school, we have an inclusive ethos, and welcome children of all faiths and none - we are very proud of our diverse intake. 

Our school is one of four in the Bangor Parish Family of Schools;  the others being St. Anne’s PS Donaghadee, St. Comgall’s PS and St. Columbanus’ College. Together we provide a seamless journey through Catholic education from age 3 to 19.

There is a strong ethos of respect and inclusion that permeates throughout our school with high standards of discipline and academic success of which we are extremely proud. This website aims to give you a 'taster' of our school, as well as providing information for both parents and pupils. We offer Wrap-around-care from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and over school holiday periods (See drop-down menu on ABOUT US link).
