What better way to celebrate Catholic Schools Week than by being awarded the Spirit of Catholic Education Award!
We are delighted to share that our school was recognised at a special ceremony in St Mary’s University College for our commitment to nurturing a strong spiritual and prayer life within our community. Special thanks go to MrsโฏEwing, our Religion Coordinator, for her dedication and leadership in guiding this important work. Well done to everyone involved—what a wonderful achievement for our whole school family!
Our Student Council has been hard at work collecting your kind donations and creating beautiful hampers. Thanks to your amazing support, SVDP has been truly overwhelmed by your generosity!
Your kindness will make a real difference to families in need this season. ๐
Thank you for showing what our school community is all about—compassion, care, and giving back.
๐๐ค Roots of Empathy ๐๐ค
This year, P5CM are taking part in the Roots of Empathy program, which helps children develop emotional literacy, kindness, and understanding. Throughout the year, we’ll be learning about feelings and relationships by observing a baby’s growth and development. Our baby, Enzo, will visit us regularly with his mum, our very own Miss Bintley, so we can see his milestones and learn how empathy shapes the way we care for others. We’re so excited for this meaningful journey!
Thank you to our Roots of Empathy Coordinator, Mrs Ewing for delivering this amazing programme!!
We were proud to celebrate European Languages Day at both Key Stage Assemblies! This was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and honour all our amazing children who speak languages other than English. Your linguistic talents enrich our school community — You are amazing!
๐๐คCelebrating Our New Student Leaders! ๐๐ค
On Friday, we held a very special assembly to announce our new Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl and Prefects— a moment of pride and excitement for our whole school community!
Staff completed nominations for these roles and it was no easy task with so many deserving children. We are incredibly proud of those selected and know they will do us proud in the year ahead! ๐๐๐
We also appointed our new Digital Leaders and Eco Team Members — congratulations to each and every one of you! Your commitment, leadership, and enthusiasm will help shape a fantastic school year. ๐
