  Today, we honour and celebrate the incredible career of our beloved Vice Principal, Ms. Mc Alorum, as she retires after 34 years of dedicated service at St. Malachy's.

  From shaping young minds in the classroom to guiding us with wisdom and compassion as Vice Principal, Ms. Mc Alorum's impact on our school community is immeasurable. Her unwavering commitment, kindness, and passion for education have inspired countless students and colleagues alike.

  As we bid farewell, we extend our deepest gratitude for her years of hard work, dedication, and the positive influence she has had on all of us. Ms. Mc Alorum, you will be greatly missed, but your legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

  Our Year 7 buddies joined Year 1 to help carry out some Anti-Bullying week activities. The children enjoyed making friendship bracelets for their buddies, colouring friendship pictures and decorating ‘Odd Socks’ using the Just2Easy app on the laptops.

  🖤💚St John's Ambulance💚🖤

   

  St. John Ambulance was chosen this year as one of the Mayor’s charities. Sisters Leila, Tilly and Bailie (St Malachy's PS) who are all members of St John's, were chosen to reveal Paddington Bear in Newtownards last month ahead of the new film release yesterday 🥰

  There are only 23 Paddington benches across the UK and this is ONE OF ONLY TWO in Ireland. The girls had a film shoot with StudioCanal on the day, as well as interviews with Cool FM, Belfast Telegraph and local press.

  Foundation stage Leader Miss Coulter led another Numbots Assembly on Friday 😊

  Congratulations to the boys and girls who gained certificates based on their engagement on the Numbots App 🥳🥳 NumBots is all about every child achieving the “triple win” of understanding, recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction, so that they move from counting to calculating.
