What a day we had today at our 50th Anniversary Summer Fete Thank you to all who supported us, the massive crowd that greeted us when we opened the gates at 1pm were a joy to behold, and the excitement of the children as they passed through the beautiful Balloon Arch to be greeted by our 'Minions' was heart-warming
So much to do, so much to eat, so much fun!!!
It was wonderful to see so many parents and children from the past, ex-staff, school Governors, and of course our current parents and children - you made our day so special
Thank you to our school staff for their hard work, to our PTA for their wonderful support, to our post primary ex pupils who helped out on stalls, and to our invited guests from the PSNI, Fire Sercice & St John's Ambulance who came today to support us
A massive thank you to our parents who donated so many wonderful items for our hugely successful Tombola!!! Thank you also to our vendors who added to a great occasion.
It was a great way to celebrate our 50th Anniversary, can't wait to see what we do for our 100th

Mum, Martinique says "Anyone that knows Rebecca, knows she is a very sensitive loving and caring girlI had to explain to her that her granda wasn't well and that the medicine he needs to have might cause him to lose his hair. She asked other questions and I explained it can effect anyone and she asked does that include children? I said yes and explained people sometimes grow there hair to cut and donate it to make wigs for the children affected. So she has decided she is going to continue to grow her hair and donate it near the end of June xx"
If you would like to donate to Rebecca's worthy cause, follow the link provided on mum's Facebook Page Martinique Smylie
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
What a brave little girl we have

Our two Y1 classes had a fabulous visit to Kilcooley Allotments today as part of their garden topic. They had fun planting seeds with Dave Afterwards they had a tour of the allotments with Steve , getting a chance to see all of the things growing there There were some very generous gardeners who gave them some rhubarb and plants to take home as well! It was a fantastic trip which had a lovely end with a picnic in the park and a chance to have some fun in the play park. Many thanks to @Kilcooley Community Forum for a brilliant visit
