A wonderful Leavers Evening tonight celebrating the achievements and memories of a wonderful Y7 cohort
There were songs, poems, speeches, awards, laughter, tears and much more as our families were taken on a journey from Nursery to Y7
Our boys and girls did themselves proud, and our staff in Y7 helped them deliver - Class Teachers Miss Roddy & Mr Marsella alongside a dedicated group of Classroom Assistants have given the children a year of wonderful memories
Well done boys and girls - every last one of you a star
Mr Rafferty
Another early start and we had groups today on the Water Park, at the Marble Arch Caves, Kayaking, Orienteering and T-Shirt printing among other things - busy busy busy!!!!!
Lunch was lovely pizza and chips and dinner was chicken pie, sausages, chips, veg, potatoes and gravy (not all at once ).
Tomorrow after breakfast there will be another two rounds of activities before departure.
HOWEVER, undoubtedly the most anticipated activity of the day came this evening and the 2 hour disco - boy, they sure scrub up well
Final post - and all that remains to be said is that the children were incredible on this residential. A 'five-dayer' is a long time away, but the boys and girls behaviour, manners and interactions were off the scale!!! The staff of the Share Centre were as always full of praise and thanks daily - our children make their jobs alot easier.
Thanks finally to our SMPS staff who travelled (Miss Roddy, Mr Marsella, Miss McKenna, Miss Campbell, Mrs Neill and Miss Waring) who along with myself, were proud to be associated with St Malachy's PS and your children
Mr Rafferty
So after a seamless journey to Lisnaskea, we all arrived at the Share Centre approximately 11.45am A meet and greet with Centre staff was followed by lunch which was eaten by all!
Our groups were then at 2pm sessions in Bush craft , Archery and Combat - the boys and girls had a ball.
There then followed a short period of free time.e which took us to dinner at 5.30pm - spaghetti bolognese, chicken curry, rice, naan bread, garlic bread and finished with ice lollies - let's just say there was very little left on the plates
Activity tonight was Share Olympics, team games which everyone put their heart and soul into!!!
Lots of tired heads now, and I am predicting many will be sound asleep very soon
So relax, breathe, and enjoy the quiet, your children are having a ball
Mr Rafferty, Miss Roddy, Mr Marsella, Miss McKenna, Mrs Neill & Miss Campbell
Congratulations to our children in the North Down Athletics Finals last week - so proud that they had podium finishes, no mean feat by getting through the initial heats to the finals and then podium finishes given the number of schools and children competing Thank you to Miss Roddy for her coaching skills, and to all the parents who supported us with lifts
Mr Rafferty
Congratulations to the boys and girls who picked up Worker of the Month and CAPPY awards at our May Awards Assembly
Mr Rafferty
