Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Fr Gunn, our School Chaplain, joined us this morning and distributed ashes to our Y1-Y7 children.
Fr Gunn spoke to the children about the season of Lent and the importance of it - some children offered suggestions of what they would give up for Lent, computer consoles and chocolate came high up on the list.
Thank you to Fr Gunn for the lovely visit this morning.
On Friday 24th February we welcomed Sullivan Prep to our school for two football matches.
In keenly contested games the results were as follows -
St Malachy's Boys 4-0 Sullivan Boys
St Malachy's Girls 4-0 Sulivan Girls
Well done to our boys and girls!!!
In preparation for their upcoming Confirmation, our Y7 children joined their peers from our Parish Schools for a service conducted by Fr Gunn @ 6.30pm.
Mrs Finlay, Miss Devine and our school choir provided beautiful accompaniment to this beautiful service.
Our Y3 - Y7 children attended mass at St Comgall's chapel on Tuesday 29th November to celebrate St Malachy's day (which occurred while we were on mid-term break). It was a beautiful service led by Fr Gunn accompanied by our wonderful choir. It was wonderful to have so many of our boys and girls involved in the service - and afterwards Fr Gunn spoke to the children about the new icon on display in the church, that of 'their' saint - St Malachy. A very proud day for the school and parish community.
