  Our Y5/Y6/Y7 classes welcomed Fitness Freddy this week for a day of Take 5 Mental Well-being awareness - the children had a great time completing all the activities and moving out of perceived comfort zones! Thanks Freddy from our KS2 children 😊

  Massive congratulations to Miss Roddy, one of our Y7 teachers, who has just completed the Berlin Marathon (her 3rd of the 6 majors) and her 75th Marathon in total

  Miss Roddy suffers from asthma and many of her 75 marathons have helped raise a great deal of money for Asthma UK.

  _{As the return to school approaches, please see procedures for September. You will be familiar with many of these from last year, as will the children.}

   

  _{School Clubs}

  • _{Breakfast Club will be operational from Wednesday 1^st September (with classes socially-distanced) Please note – Breakfast Club MUST be booked in advance via EduSpot School Money.}
  • _{No After-Schools clubs initially – guidance to follow.}

   

  _{School Dinners}

  • _{School dinners will be available from Wednesday 1^st September – Please note – Dinners MUST be booked in advance via EduSpot School Money.}

   

  _{Healthy Break}

  • _{Please note – school currently wil not be able to supply Healthy Break – please keep in mind the school’s Healthy Food initiatives – please do not send in sweets/crisps/fizzy drinks etc for break or lunch.}

   

  _{Class Bubbles}

  • _{Given the significant rise in infection rates, Class bubbles will continue in the interim.}

   

  _{Entrance/Exit Points}

  • _{Different Entrances/Exits for Year Groups as per last year where they will be met by a member of staff – see attached.}
  • _{Parents of children Y5-Y7 should leave their children at School Gate as per last year’s procedure.}

   

  _{Reception Area}

  • _{Parents should not be at Reception Area – please phone/email office as before.}
  • _{Please encourage your child to be as organised as possible and check they have everything before they leave the house in the morning – this will avoid unnecessary trips to the school throughout the day.}

   

  _{Face-Covering/Social Distancing}

  • _{Face-coverings should continue to be worn whilst on school site (adults) with social-distancing at all times.}

   

  _{School Uniform}

  • _{Children from September should only wear PE uniform on designated PE days – full uniform at all other times.}

   

  _{School Bags}

  • _{School bags/Lunch boxes/Pencil Cases will be allowed into school.}

   

  _{Principal & Vice-Principal will be at the front gates of the school each morning and afternoon - and any messages should be phoned or emailed through to the school office.}

  Today we had our Prize-giving Ceremonies for Y1-Y6 children 🥰

  There was much excitement across the Year Groups as the winning names were announced, and so lovely to see the reaction of the children so pleased for their friends 😊❤

  We hope mums and dads of the recipients got a nice surprise at pick up time and the framed Certificates get pride of place at home 🏡
