  • 50th Anniversary Mass

    Mon 27 Jan 2025

This morning we celebrated our 50th with a beautiful Mass in our Parish Church Canon Gunn, with Fr Danny White (PP in 1975) con-celebrating and assisted by Deacon McAllister, spoke very highly of our school to the congregation of Y3-Y7 children, current and ex-staff members (pictured), ex-pupils and parents both past and present along with members of our Board of Governors.

Our choir, under the tutelage of Mrs Finaly & Mrs Savage, sang beautifully Our Religion Coordinator, Mrs Ewing, pulled this all together seamlessly (Canon Gunn's words) and was ably assisted by all staff members

I was very proud today as Principal, and welcomed ex principals Mr O'Loan (1975-1992) who joined us via webcam, and Mr Flannigan (1992-2010).

Thank you to all who attended this beautiful service

  • To our Y7 cohort

    Fri 24 Jan 2025

We, in St Malachy's, are blessed with two classes of wonderful Y7 children For some of you, tomorrow is a day for SEAG results. Remember, whether you did tests or not, results do not define who you are. They don't see the musicians , the footballers , the artists , the dancers , the athletes, the chefs , the comedians , the warm empathetic compassionate children that you are . These are the traits, talents and abilities we see in you EVERY DAY, our wonderful Y7s

So whatever tomorrow brings, for ALL of our Y7 boys and girls, remember, we are all so very proud of you here in St Malachy's
