  • Give your child a hug today....

    Tue 05 Jan 2021

ย Y7 Parents and Guardians, give your boys and girls a hug today

The news of the cancellation of the GL/AQE tests will have brought a mix of emotions to your houses today.

Boys and girls, you have worked so hard, and prepared so well for these tests, today's announcement will make some of you feel that it was all in vain.

    IT WASN'T IN VAIN.

The work you have completed, the dedication to your studies, the committment you have shown over mid-term, Halloween and indeed the Christmas holidays will stand you in fine stead for your journey in Y8 post primary.

We couldn't be prouder of you all. And not just the 'transfer' children, all of our Y7s who lead the line in our school.

Our staff, and particularly our Y6 and Y7 teachers feel your disappointment, as they could see first hand your dedication to the task ahead.

It wasn't meant to be, but you will have so many other opportunities in the months ahead to shine.

Tonight might be the night for a take-away, a DVD or Netflix, and a reflection on the wonderful attitude to learning you all have.

Sit back boys and girls, and breathe.... and let your family give you a hug
