Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Y1GC had a thoroughly enjoyable World Book Day. They took part in a treasure hunt looking for characters from fairy tales and in the afternoon they enjoyed teaming up with reading buddies from P7GR. Our role play area became a library for the week.
What a wonderful, whacky and wowzer World Book Day we had at St Malachy's today!!! Children and staff dressed wonderfully as their favourite characters, we had a prize assembly followed by a quiz in the Assembly Hall and rounded off the day with 'Escape Rooms' around the school based on Teachers favourite novels when they were children... (mine was Stig Of The Dump) Thank you to Miss McGrattan, our Literacy Coordinator for coordinating this brilliant day (MORE PICS ON FB SITE)

Miss Devine's Y5 class had a lovely morning with Baby Alba and her mummy, Miss Rogan. This was Alba's sixth visit and the children noticed so many changes compared to her first visit. Alba now has a tooth and is eating solid food. We talked about how parents keep babies safe in their homes, when they are eating and as they grow older. Primary 5 had fantastic questions for Miss Rogan as always. They are learning so much from their tiny teacher, Miss Alba.
Mrs Ewing's Y3 class had a fantastic time at Clandeboye Care Home on Friday! They chatted enthusiastically to the residents and read them stories. The residents loved their company as they played at each table. They raised the noise level in the care home but also lifted lots of hearts!
